HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 03-27-1989CAPE CANAVERAL ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MARCH 27, 1989 A Meeting of the City of Cape Canaveral Zoning Board of Adjust- ment was held on March 27, 1989, at City Hall Annex, 111 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral, Florida. Chairman Lloyd called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. The Secretary called the roll. MEMBERS PRESENT: Russell Lloyd Chairman Marilyn Rigerman Vice Chairman Nellie Cardinale Ann Thurm Robert Laws Ronnie Farmer Alternate OTHERS PRESENT: Joy Salamone Mayor Bob Hoog Mayor Pro Tem Patti Bell Secretary Mrs. Rigerman moved to approve the minutes of the January 16, 1989 meeting. Ms. Thurm seconded motion. Motion carried unanimously. NEW BUSINE 1. Chairman Lloyd reiterated the conditions placed on the Request by the Planning and Zoning Board: 1) all construction of concrete block material, 2) ingress and egress same road, 3) minimum 1000 square feet building, 4) two. car garages and 5) variation in frontal setbacks. Mr. Gurr stated that he had agreed to these restrictions. Discussion followed. Ms. Cardinale moved to approve Special Exception Request No. 88 -1 with the aforementioned conditions. Ms. Thrum seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. 2. W.- Sch -rye for Chu rch S treet - Center-, -- I nc._ Mr. Schryer and his attorney, Mr. Vincent Mangino, specified that they had met all the requirements made by the Planning and Zoning Board. Ms. Elizabeth Franklin, a resident living opposite Church Street Center, voiced opposition to the request and submitted two separate letters from other citizens with similar views. Chairman Lloyd stated that, although he and some of the Board members may agree with opposing views, the request met the requirements of ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MARCH 27, 1989 PAGE 1 OF 2 PAGES of current zoning laws. Discussion followed. Ms. Rigerman moved to approve Request No. 89 -3. Ms. Thurm seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 P.M.
