HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 03-05-1990CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MARCH 5, 1990 A Meeting of the City of Cape Canaveral Zoning Board of Adjustment was held on March 5, 1990 at the City Hall Annex, 111 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral, Florida. Chairman Lloyd called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. The Secretary called the roll. MEMBERS PRESENT: Russell Lloyd Chairman Marilyn Rigerman Vice Chairman Robert Laws Nellie Cardinale Ronnie Farmer 1st Alternate Pat Lee 2nd Alternate OTHERS PRESENT: Leo Nicholas City Manager Mitch Goldman Deputy City Attorney Jim Morgan Building Official Susan Nelson Secretary UNFINISHED_ BUSINESS 1. Requesa_ No 12_Modification to Special Exception No. 85_- 1 ( Granted11 18_ . 85) -- _regarding_ Par Front Setback. Auto Stock Exchang_e 778 (8 699 Astronaut Boulevard) Petitioner was Bruce Ta Owner (Postponed from 2- 26 -90)_ The Board members reviewed photographs of adjacent property parking areas depicting vehicles parked within the 25' setback. Mr. Taylor advised that if this Special Exception were granted, the area would be utilized for customer parking only. Discussion followed. Chairman Lloyd reviewed the restrictions imposed by Special Exception No. 85 -17, granted November 18, 1985 and the Planning and Zoning Board recommendations made on Special Exception Request No. 89 -12. Mr. Laws moved to grant the special exception to amend restriction number (3) to read as follows: No parking of i inventory or goods for sale within the eastern 25 feet of the required front setback. Mrs. Cardinale seconded the motion. Vote on the motion was as follows: In favor, Mrs. Cardinale, Mr. Farmer, Mr. Laws, Mr. Lloyd; opposed, Mrs. Rigerman. Motion c,arri Pd _ 2. Atlantic Avenue was a Boardwalk Grill, a family oriented submitted an as -built photograph. March 5, 1990 Page 1 of 2 Chairman Lloyd reviewed limitations of income from a malt and beverage license. Mr. Keenan concurred. The Board members discussed the site seating capacity. Discussion continued. Mrs. Cardinale moved to approve Special Exception No. 90-1. Mr. Laws seconded the motion.
