Nf1. r ne 19, 1962 It is hereby Ra,CLVED by the To:.n Council of the Town of Cape Canaveral that the following men will compose the Zoning Board for a period of one year: Frank Hoeg, Don Clayton, Eugene Jandreau, Howard Gould and B.B. That the Tam hereby adopts the County Building Code with the exception that there mill be a 75 foot setback on highways (401 and r Old AlA). 2. The Zoning along both side of Highways 401 and 01d Al 4 is hereby changed from its present zoning to BU -1 for 1e00 feet back from the P highway right of way. 1 3. No wooden buildings will be permitted by the Town Council except by special request to the Zoning Board. i 4. No builder except a Class-1 Builder, can build more than two (2) f" : stories in height. 5. I RESOLUTION NO. 10 July 24, 1962 IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Cape Canaveral to adopt the. BREVARD COUNTY ZONING REGULATIONS, adopted 'Tay 22, 1958 and all of the amendments contained therein as or June 2, 1962. Purchases for Town Hall were discussed and it was suggested that prices be obtained for needed items. Most essential at this time was a file cabinet area decision was postponed for one week rending investigation of a gift of a cabinet. A request from ABC Garbage Service of Sanford, Florida was read and the consensus of the Council was to send them a copy of the garbage work statement in answer. A request to name an unnamed street was read. On MOTION duly made, se- conded and passed unanimously, Resolution Number 11 was as follows: /////////////////////////////////////// RESOLUTION NO. 11 . July 24, 1962 IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Cape Canaveral to name the below legally described street "CHURCH LANE": I I "Begin at the N. V. Corner of Section 23, Twp. 24 South, Range 37 E; thence go South 160 feet along the west line of k Section 23 to a point of beginning; thence East paralleling to the North line of Sec. 23 to the west boundary of the Canaveral County Road, also known as State Road S401 ; thence go South along the West Boundary of said road a distance of 36 feet; thence go ` West paralleling the North line of Sec. 23 to the '.':'est line of Sec. 23; thence North along the West Line of Sec, 23 to the point of Beginning." This Road embraces a strip of land 36 feet wide extending from the west side of Section 23, to the West Boundary of the Canaveral County Road, also known as State Road S401 . It is recorded in the public records of Brevard County, Florida designating it as an easement and right of way ever on and across this strip of land. The Present State Road 401 is excepted from the west end of this road as described. This Resolution will become effective 14 days hence. /////////////////////////////////////// %rti ii ll;L 1 s RESOLUTION NO. 12 August 7, 1962 It is hereby RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral to accept the report of the Election Committee' as submitted and as the result of their tabulations, it is hereby found that the follow- ing Charter Board Members are duly elected: C. F. Cook, William E. Greaney,Jr. , Eugene J. Jandreau, William R. King and Richard Thurm; and the following Permanent Election Board members are duly elected: Norma Markham, Mary V. r F j Sherherd, Gladys Chandler, Lloydine Collins and Anne K. Larson. In the event a that any of the five members of the Election Board do not desire to hold office then the next highest candidates are hereby declared alternates t 1 ernates whi.ch will be fully entitled to the privileges and duties as members of the Election ii Board, if requested to accept, and they shall be requested in the following order: Dorothy Harris, Betty 0. RESOLUTION NO. 14 August 28, 1962 It is hereby resolved that the City of Cape Canaveral approves the Plat submitted on Cape Canaveral Beach Gardens, Unit No. 1, a Subdivision in the S.W. 1/4 of Section 14, Township 24 South Range 37 East Brevard County Florida. DESCRIPTION: f ) "For a Point of beginning, begin at the 1/4 Section corner on the South boundary of Section 14, Township 24 South, Range 37 East in Brevard County, Florida. Thence with the South Boundary of Section 14, run West 150.38 feet. Thence North 1, 07, 54" West. 408.97 feet. Thence West 1171.02 feet. Thence S 79, 24', 25" West. 470.00 feet of P.C. of a curve having a radius of 25 feet. Thence with said curve, diverging to the left, an arc distance of 31.51 Feet to a point 15 feet east of as measured at right angles from the center line of existing pavement an Old State Road No. 401. Thence with said east boundary S 1, 07', 54" E. . 949.50 feet to the point of beginning." ////////////////////////////////// RESOLUTION NO. 15 September 25, 1962 BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Cape Canaveral endorses the fund campaign of the United Fund of Brevard County, Inc. and urges a]I citizens of Cape Canaveral to adequately contribute toward such campaign. ////////////////////////////////// RESOLUTION NO. -16 October 3, 1962 BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Cape Canaveral Council approves the plat known as Cape Canaveral Beach Gardens, Unit #2, Sheets 1 and 2 as submitted to the Council by Shuford Tills, Inc. . ////////////////////////////////// !
