Motion to Adopt: Resolution No. 2001 -38, A Resolution of the City of Cape Canaveral, Brevard County, Florida; Certifying the Results of the General 3 Election of November 6, 2001; Providing for an Effective Date. r i- i Mayor Randels read the resolution in its entirety. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Brevard 3 County, Florida, as follows: 1 1 SECTION 1. The City Council accepts the certification of the election returns as i submitted by the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections for the General Election of November 6, 2001. The City Council certifies as proper the following election returns for I t City Council (vote for Two) the whole number of votes cast was 2198 of which number: Candidate for City Council Total Votes F Burt Bruns 584 k 695 I Jim Morgan 1 3 I i I City of Cape Canaveral, Florida City Council Special Meeting November 8, 2001 Page 2 Candidate for City Council Total Votes Hans Saurenmann 304 Richard Treverton 615 For Fire - Rescue Services Referendum Question the whole number of votes cast was 1210 of which number: Yes received 640 votes No received 570 votes SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. ADOPTED BY the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, this 8th day of November, 2001. A motion was made by Mr. Treverton and seconded by Mr. Weber to adopt Resolution No 01 -38 to Certify the Results of the General Election of November 6, 2001. The vote carried on the motion 5 -0 with voting as follows: Mr. Bruns, For; Mayor Pro Tem Petsos, 1 For; Mayor Randels, For; Mr. Treverton, For and Mr. Weber, For. f There being no further business, a motion was made by Mr. Weber and seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Petsos to adjourn the meeting at 5:35 P.M.
