COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD
DECEMBER 18, 2000
MINUTES
A meeting of the City of Cape Canaveral Community Appearance Board was
held on December 18, 2000 at 7:00 P.M. in the City Hall Annex, 111 Polk
Avenue, Cape Canaveral, Florida. The Secretary called the roll.

Attorney McQuagge swore in all persons giving testimony.
NEW BUSINESS:
Approval of Meeting Minutes: December 4, 2000.
Motion by Mr. Camomilli, seconded by Mr. Bowman to approve the meeting
minutes of December 4, 2000 as submitted. Vote on the motion carried
unanimously.
2. Request No. 00 -52 - McDonald's Restaurant Addition - 8780 Astronaut
Boulevard - Rick Swisher. Architect.
Mr. Rick Swisher, Project Architect, testified that McDonald's Restaurant was
proposing a 750 sq. ft. addition to the dining area to be constructed on the South
side of the building. He assumed that landscaping (hedges) would be installed
next to the south and east doorways. Brief discussion followed. Mr. Reid
advised that the landscaping plan would be submitted as part of the site plan
submittal.
Motion by Mr. Bowman, seconded by Mr. Camomilli to approve Request No.
00 -52 with the condition that landscaping be planted as per the Mr. Swishers
testimony. Vote on the motion carried unanimously.

3. Request No. 00 -53, Single Familv Residence - 618 Manatee Bay Drive
Lot 4, Discovery Bay Subdivision - Larry Weber Property Owner.
Mr. Larry Weber testified that the roof tile would be light pink, the house would be
a light white, the submittal included a swimming pool with screen enclosure and a
6 ft. high white block wall. The Board members reviewed the architectural
rendering of the proposed single family residence, including landscape plan,
color swatches of the house paint and trim, and photographs of the lot and
surrounding properties. Mr. Weber further testified that the columns, window
trim, and garage doors would be white. He added that the front door may be
etched glass. Brief discussion followed.
Motion by Mr. Camomilli, seconded by Mr. Bowman to approve Request No.
00 -53 as presented. Vote on the motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting was duly adjourned at 7:35 P.M.
