A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL,
FLORIDA; APPOINTING MEMBERS AND ALTERNATES TO THE CULTURE
AND LEISURE SERVICES BOARD OF THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL;
PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF PRIOR INCONSISTENT RESOLUTIONS,
SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, has by City Code Section
54-26 established a Board known as the Culture and Leisure Services Board; and
WHEREAS, it is now incumbent upon the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral to
appoint members and alternates to said Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE CANAVERAL, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. The foregoing recitals are deemed true and correct and are hereby
incorporated herein by this reference as a material part of this Resolution.
Section 2. Appointment to City Advisory Board. Pursuant to Section 2-171(e) of the Cape
Canaveral City Code, the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral hereby appoints the following
individuals to the Culture and Leisure Services Board:
Brad Pervell and Tina Freeman shall be appointed
to existing, unexpired terms, to serve until October 1, 2024.
Following completion of their respective terms, these appointees may be eligible for
reappointment consistent with the limitations set forth in Section 2-171(f), City Code.
Section 3. Appointment of First and Second Alternates to City Advisory Board. Pursuant
to Section 2-171(m) of the Cape Canaveral City Code, the City Council of the City of Cape
Canaveral hereby appoints the following individuals to the Culture and Leisure Services Board:
Virginia Scott shall be appointed as first alternate, to serve until
October 1, 2026.
James Stobie shall be appointed as second alternate, to serve until
October 1, 2026.
Section 4. Repeal of Prior Inconsistent Resolutions. All prior resolutions or parts of
resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict.

Section 5. Severability. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, word or portion
of this Resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such
holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion hereto.
Section 6. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida.
ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida,
assembled this 20th day of August, 2024.
