HomeMy WebLinkAboutRE_ Updates (3)Hi Maranda. I will request that Gary make sure that FPL understands that after the service lines are installed, there will be a swale placed on top of the lines for stormwater purposes. In other words, the lines will have to be buried to a depth to accommodate the installation of the swale. Mr. Jim Moore’s (who was the City’s Public Works Services (PWS) Director at the time of construction, and is no longer with the City), email correspondence indicates that he approved the requested revision with the understanding that the storm drainage would function properly and would not cause a deviation in the drive entrance. Further, the EOR is required to submit a certification that the stormwater improvements met City minimum stormwater standards. I believe June Clark, the City’s PWS Director will be responding to the flooding concern you raise in your email. Thank you. As before I am very worried about how the FPL supply lines will work with the designed swale. On a separate note. Last week during a rain storm Mark at 316 was yelled at by a neighborhood resident because “we need to take care of the drain problem” “you are flooding our houses” We haven’t gotten any answers and are still waiting to find out to why the city allowed the developer to not make the drainage improvements that were on the plan accepted by the city. Now to top it off we are being accosted by angry neighbors. Attached are pictures of the neighbor in the street in front of our house at 306. Adrian has been pretty good about returning my calls but my messages yesterday and today were not returned. Not for nothing, but I don't doubt he is waiting for something decisive on his end. He is definitely aware this is an important matter to resolve. I'll be back trying to connect first thing Monday. Wish I had something for you.
