HomeMy WebLinkAboutRE_ Sorry I missed youGood morning Maranda. Yes, the City will review the Project’s Engineer certification, and the site, for compliance with City minimum drainage requirements. Please note that the City
has a maximum slope prohibition that will be enforced as this work progresses.
I know this has taken much longer than any of the parties hoped for, and thank you for your continued patience. I will reiterate to Gary that as soon as he hears something from FPL regarding
their eta, to please let us know.
Dave

I am glad that you made it out to the properties to see the progress.
As you stated that the eastern portion of the “swale” is complete I want to voice my concern again.
This is the 4th attempt that Gary has made at grading the yard to plan. The original issue still exists, it is a ditch. There should be no “gain” of backyard because it should all be
usable with a sloping swale. I watched the landscape company remove the stakes with no regard to the marked survey depth or width. What is behind 314 & 316 is a hazard. If Gary wants
to put in a ditch it should be pipe and sand so it is not a danger to the owners.
As far as the project engineer certifying the swale meeting city requirements, they already did when it was incorrect. I expect the city to have the project inspected by its engineer
to verify that work was completed to plan specifications, as it should have been before certificates of occupancy were issued.
We are now 10 months into correcting this issue.
I am still waiting on information and answers to the other questions that were asked and never addressed regarding the drainage issues, irrigation system, etc.
I am aware that FPL is on their own schedule but any prior notice to them being on site is appreciated.
Thank you
Maranda

Hi Maranda. Sorry to have missed you as well.
Not much to report. I wanted to come out and see the relocated drainage swale with respect to its dimensions and new location. Appears that there is a "gain" of approximately 4-5 feet
of the useable backyard with the swale shifting to the north. Also appears that the revised swale looks like it will wrap around the hand-hold.
As I understand it, the eastern portion of the swale has been completed as Gary is waiting for FPL to address the overhead power supply situation.
The Project Engineer will be required to submit a certification that the revised swale meets City drainage requirements.
Thanks.
