I want to make sure I understand from my talk with you that you have been informed that the temporary fence is allowed on the Jackson Avenue property? My original question in the email to verify the source of that information, because I have not been able to find it in my initial attempt to search. I can keep looking but I believe City Staff has already done this work when the issue was first raised and the site was observed. The owner called me upset about the entire situation being unsightly and inconsistent with other codes. She asked for help to find this provision in the code after speaking with Staff and doing her own research. May I give her a number to call (Building official or code enforcement) to speak with the appropriate staff who confirmed this to be allowed? Since I can’t find the answer, I would like to know as well, but I hope to provide her with a credible answer based on citing Code since she has been told this fence is allowed even though it seems odd. I am hoping we are able to quickly provide a reference to the section of the code or law that backs the temporary fence provision since she was quickly told by myself and others it was allowed with no reference to code. My concern is that her frustration will only grow if the City’s response to cite the code we applied to allow the fence is delayed.
