Good morning,
As your request is for “all public information” for the property in question, it will take much more than a day or two to even locate and identify all records that meet the scope of
such a request.
“all public information” includes:
- records related to payments for City services, inspections, licenses, business tax receipts, etc.
- any and all Council and/or advisory board meeting minutes/agenda/packets if an item related to the property was brought up for consideration or even merely discussed.
- any and all City emails that include discussion and/or mention of the property, which could number in the hundreds, if not thousands. This would require time to analyze each
individual email for relevance and/or redaction.
- any and all permits and/or submitted plans for any construction, additions, and/or repair work related to the site.
- any current and/or past code enforcement cases and investigations.
- coordination with Canaveral Fire Rescue to locate and provide any records they may have related to the property.
- a search of all City correspondence currently on file.
- any other type of records that may also meet such a broad scope of a request.
Some of these types of records may go back many decades, which would require additional time to identify, locate and produce.
We have already started the process of analyzing all records, across numerous City departments, that would meet the scope of this request, and, as stated in step #2 in my prior email,
we most likely will have to initially prepare a fee estimate and a required deposit before we could begin pulling all the identified records together.
If time is of a concern, it would be recommended to narrow the scope of your request to a certain type of record and/or specific time-frame.
As it stands, we are expecting to have an estimate for your original request by the end of this week.

Some of these types of records may go back many decades, which would require additional time to identify, locate and produce.
We have already started the process of analyzing all records, across numerous City departments, that would meet the scope of this request, and, as stated in step #2 in my prior email,
we most likely will have to initially prepare a fee estimate and a required deposit before we could begin pulling all the identified records together.
If time is of a concern, it would be recommended to narrow the scope of your request to a certain type of record and/or specific time-frame.
As it stands, we are expecting to have an estimate for your original request by the end of this week.
