Your property may be affected by Ordinance(s): 05-2023& 06-2023.The proposed Ordinance(s) will change the property's current Zoning Map classification from C-1 Commercial toR-2 Medium Density Residential, and the current Future Land Use Map designation from C-1 Commercial to R-2 Medium Density Residential. This is part of City initiative to rezone certain properties to reflect the current use, which is residential, Residential uses have historically been allowed inthe C-1 district through the special exception zoning process. However, this changed in 2016 when the City Council revised the City [ode by removing residential uses from the list ofpossible special exceptions inthe C-1 distriC±. This administrative rezoning process will serve to eliminate or reduce inconsistent uses within the City. Please be advised that the City of Cape Canaveral will conduct several public hearings regarding the Ordinances asfollows: Planning & Zoning Board/Local Planning Agency (LPA) Meeting November 15,2023 at 6:00 P.M. or soon thereafter. City Council Meetimg-Fimst Reading Dmcemmben19, 2023 at 6:00 P.M.x»nsoon thereafter. City CouncUUMemting-Smcond Reading and Adoption January 16, 2024 at 6:00 P.M.onsoon thereafter. All hearings will be conducted at City Hall located at 100 Polk Avenue, Council Chambers, [ape Canaveral, Florida. The LPA and City Council reserve the right to postpone or continue the Public Hearings onany ofthese Ordinances without further notice.
