I would need to know this information for the upcoming mediation on my Request for Relief. The purpose is to see if the city will recognize these splits and grandfather them all in, which would include mine, it will seem, regardless that a home was built or not. Also, would you please tell me if Chapter 98 Subdivisions, came before or after the 1962 plat of Cape Canaveral Beach Gardens Unit 2. It appears that at least 7 of the 14 platted corner lots did not meet the 15% rule of 98-107 of the chapter. Again, this is important to know for the mediation if a code was applied to a plat subsequently, that when developed didn't need to meet the 15% rule and again several times after during the illegal splits took place. And finally, these things are important to know because I'm not quite sure if we are dealing with several past mistakes made by the city or 30-40 times more that may set a precedent, which the city has demonstrated does no public harm to keep the illegal subdivides in place without addressing the code violations. I look forward to your timely response. Sincerely Mike DiChristopher Florida has a very broad public records law.
