Pursuant to Section 286.1015, Florida Statutes, the City hereby advises the public that: If a
person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter
considered at this meeting, that person will need a record of the proceedings, and for such
purpose that person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which
record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. This notice
does not constitute consent by the City for the introduction or admission into evidence of
otherwise inadmissible or irrelevant evidence, nor does it authorize challenges or appeals not
otherwise allowed by law.
This meeting may include the attendance of one or more members of the Cape Canaveral City
Council; Board Members of the Board of Adjustment, Code Enforcement, and Planning and
Zoning Board who may or may not participate in Board discussions held at the public meeting.
Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate in any of these proceedings should

The above referenced sign application has been reviewed by staff and meets the
requirements for consideration by the board. The sign, as proposed, meets the zoning
requirements for C-1 Zoning District.
Staff recommends that this application be approved as submitted.

In regard to the ground sign building permit application submitted on the date listed
above, the ground sign must be approved through the community appearance board as
per the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 22 Community Development, Article III
Community Appearance Review, Section 22-40 Approval Prerequisite for Permits (A).
The community appearance board meets twice monthly, Mondays on the first and third
Mondays of each month. The application for review needs to be filled out completely,
submitted to the Building Department to be scheduled for the hearing which you will
receive notice of the hearing within at least 7 days prior to the meeting.
The review application will need the following information:
Completed Community Appearance Review Packet, with the fee of $75.00
pre -paid prior to the scheduling of the meeting, and a pre -application meeting with
the Building Official.
2. At least 3 color photos of the existing site area and surroundings, looking east,
west, etc,
Copy of existing site plan showing all structures, parking, etc.
4. At least 1 photo of the new ground sign, showing overall sign information,
colors, dimensions, location of placement, etc.
At least nine copies of all the packet information for each community appearance
review member to review at the meeting.
Please contact the Building Department at 407-868-1222 if you require additional
information. Please complete the application packet as soon as possible and return to the
Building Department to schedule the board meeting.
