NEW YORK - The British author
known in part for his news -making be-
stseller on Princess Diana has a biogra-
phy of Queen Elizabeth II coming out
Nov.15.
Andrew Morton s The Queen" was
supposed to be published in 2023, but
it was moved to this fall after the queen
died last week at age 96.
"During her long and storied reign
Queen Elizabeth II devoted herself to
her family and the wider family of na-
tions. During times of national celebra-
tion and concern, such as the COVID-19
pandemic, she was the glue who kept
the nation together. Morton said in a
statement released Wednesday by
Grand Central Publishing, a division of
Hachette Book Group.
"Teasing out the character of the
woman behir !the impassive mask has
been oneaf' !challenges and fascina-
tions of—7hy," he said.
The g. ;sates a Morton biogra-
plast year in Britain to
ueen's jubilee.
"Teasing out the character
of the woman behind the
impassive mask has been
one of the challenges and
fascinations of this
biography."
Andrew Morton
Author
According to Grand Central, Morton
drew upon archival research and his
long relationships with palace insiders,
including private secretaries and body-
guards.
He has written unauthorized books
on William, Prince of Wales, and Megh-
an, Duchess of Sussex, among others.
But he had the cooperation of his sub-
ject for the 1992 release "Diana: Her
True Story - in Her Own Words," in
which Diana acknowledged marital
troubles with Prince Charles, now King
Charles 111.

late aftemoon storm pattern con-
tinued from the past weekend.
The Melbourne Orlando Interna-
tional Airport, where the weather ser-
vice has its office, saw an official rain-
fall record set for Wednesday with 2.8
inches reported.
There was an 80 percent chance of
showers across Brevard Thursday and
Thursday night, with at least 2 to 4
inches of additional rain expected,
weather officials reported.
Late Wednesday, two flood adviso-
ries were issued by the weather ser-
vice, warning of flooding primarily
along the northern roast and in parts
of central Brevard.
Some residents posted videos on
social media showing the flooded
streets and roadways.
"A11 of our tributaries have plenty of
capacity," said Don Walker, spokesper-
son for Brevard's Emergency Manage-
ment Office. "But when you have 5 inch-
es of rainfall in a short period of time, it
will take time for it to run off."
By 10 p.m. Wednesday, there were re-
ports of 2 feet of standing water On
roads and sidewalks along the intersec-
tion of Skylark Avenue and 2nd Street in
Catalina Isles in Merritt Island, weather
officials reported.
The downpours also caused a portion
of the East Merritt Island Causeway,
also known as State Road 520, to be
flooded. A portion of State Road 528
heading eastbound into Cape Canaveral
and Cocoa Beach also saw roadway
flooding and panding.
Weather officials expectrain showers
intermittently through the weekend.
