MEMORANDUM

RE: April 6, 2009 CAB Meeting
This meeting we have three action items. Two are architectural elevations for single
family homes. Request No. 09-02 is to add a garage and studio to an existing single
family home at 296 East Central Blvd. The proposed garage/studio is allowed in the R-
1 zoning district and according to the Building dept. the method of attachment to the
primary structure meets our code. Prior to obtaining a building permit, the applicant will
have to submit site plans that demonstrate all setbacks and other zoning provisions are
met.
Request No. 09-03 is the review of the elevations of a new single family residence in
Discovery Bay subdivision at 621 Manatee Bay Drive. I have reviewed the site plan and
it meets code for all zoning requirements.
Currently there are three vacancies on the Community Appearance Board, one regular
member and two alternate members. At this meeting we have two candidates to
interview for the Community Appearance Board positions, Joyce Kelley and Rosalie
Wolf. The Board will be asked to make a recommendation to the City Council regarding
their service on the CAB. The Board may make a recommendation as to who should be
appointed as the regular member and who should be the first alternate, however, this is
not required.
