COMPLIANCE HEARINGS:
1. Case No. 98-24, Jeffery Kellum, (8910 Coquina Lane), Section 14, Township
24 South, Range 37 East, Harbor Heights 2nd Addition, Lot # 22, Brevard
County, Florida. —Violation of Section 34-181 Storing, Parking, or Leaving on
Private Property, an inoperable motor vehicle, boat and trailer.
2. Case No. 98-31, Wade Miller, (8417 Rosalind Ave), Section 14, Township 24
South, Range 37 East, Canaveral Beach Gardens, Block B, Lot 13, Brevard
County, Florida—Violation of Section 34-97 Duties and Responsibilities for
Maintenance, in that the wooden fence along the west end of the property is in
need of repairs, plywood pieces nailed on the exterior of the fence causing a
blighting effect to the neighboring property.
3. Case No. 98-34, Tony Greenwell, (8911 N. Atlantic Ave, Lot #66), Section
14, Township 24 South, Range 37 East, Parcel 251.2, Brevard County, Florida
Violation of Section 110-469 Visibility at Intersections, in that a boat is being
stored within the visibility triangle at the intersection access upon the property.

4. Case No. 98-38, Brenda C. Hannafin, (leasee), (350 Monroe Ave), Section 23,
Township 24 South, Range 37 East, Avon-By-The-Sea, Block 21, Lots 14,15,
Brevard County, Florida— Violation of Section 34-181 Storing, Parking, or
Leaving on Private Property, inoperable motor vehicles.
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
1. Case No. 98-33, Brian Brown, (7666 Orange Ave), Section 23, Township 24
South, Range 37 East, Avon-By-The-Sea, Block 38, Lot 1, Brevard County,
Florida— Violation of Section 110-106 Permits Required, and Section 110-468
Accessory Structures, in that a storage/utility shed has been constructed upon the
property without a building permit, construction plans, and a legal survey of the
property to show proper placement of the structure.
2. Case No. 98-39, Harold Roddan, (309 Harrison Ave), Section 23, Township 24
South, Range 37 East, Avon-By-The-Sea, Block 38, Lot 6, Brevard County,
Florida—Reoccurring violation of Code Enforcement Board order, Case No. 96-
09, dated April 18, 1996 in that the fence needs repaired and the grass and
weeds are above the 6" inch height requirement.
3. Case No. 98-40, Randy Mays, (245 Challenger Road), Section 15, Township 24
South, Range 37 East, Parcel 2, Brevard County, Florida—Violation of Section
62-11 Unlawful Acts, in that an accumulation of green waste has been left upon
the property without proper disposal of the waste.
4. Case No. 98-41, Ida Bruss, (8201 Canaveral Blvd), Section 14, Township 24
South, Range 37 East, Canaveral Beach Gardens, Block 4, Lot 1, Brevard
County, Florida—Violation of Section 34-97 Duties and Responsibilities for
Maintenance, Section 110-468 Accessory Structures, and Section 82-371
Posting and Specifications of Numbers, in that the grass and weeds are
overgrown upon the property, the fence needs repaired, the window on the
second floor needs repaired, the awning canvas's need to be cleaned, the address
of the property is not clearly displayed upon the building, and the accessory
structure that was placed in the front yard needs to be removed.

5. Case No. 98-42, Magma Trading Corporation, (8200 Astronaut Blvd), Section
23, Township 24 South, Range 37 East, Parcel 286, Brevard County, Florida-
Violation of Section 34-97 Duties and Responsibilities for Maintenance, and
Section 94-7 Conformance, in that the building is in need of cleaning of mold and
mildew, and possibly painting, the east fence has several panels missing
throughout and need to be replaced, broken windows repaired, old light pole base
removed, and the weeds removed from the flower box.
6. Case No. 98-43, Cindi Griffin, (314 Lincoln Ave), Section 23, Township 24
South, Range 37 East, Avon-By-The-Sea, Block 67, Lot 14, Brevard County,
Florida- Violation of Section 34-181 Storing, Parking or Leaving on Private
Property, an inoperable motor vehicle, appeal of the posting of the vehicle.
7. Case No. 98-44, Ray Beford, (6855 Poinsetta Ave, unit # 15), Section 23,
Township 24 South, Range 37 East, Avon-By-The-Sea, Block 73, Lots 7,8,
Brevard County, Florida- Violation of Section 34-181 Storing , Parking, or
Leaving on Private Property, an inoperable motor vehicle, appeal of the posting
of the vehicle.
Pursuant to Section 286.1015, F.S., the City hereby advises the public that: If a person
decides to appeal any decision made by the Code Enforcement Board with respect to any
matter considered at this meeting, that person will need a record of the proceedings, and
for such purpose that person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings
is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be
based. This notice does not constitute consent by the City for the introduction or
admission into evidence of otherwise inadmissible or irrelevant evidence, nor does it
authorize challenges or appeals not otherwise allowed by law.
The attendance of one or more members of the Cape Canaveral City Council, Board of
Adjustment, Code Enforcement and/ or Community Appearance Board who may or may
not participate in Board discussions held at this public meeting. Persons with disabilities
needing special assistance to participate in any of these proceedings should contact the
City Clerk's office at 868-1221, 48 hours in advance of the meeting.
