The meters are intended to help offset the costs of dune crossover repairs, beach management & renourishment, beach raking, signage, landscaping, roadway maintenance and trash pick-up. An annual beach parking pass will be available and City residents will; have the opportunity to have their ad valorem taxes fund the annual pass expenditure. The anticipated effective date is December 1, 2011. Information about the City of Cape Canaveral Parking Meter Program can be found at www.cityofcapecanaveral.org. Residents wishing to obtain a pass can download the application, which must be mailed or return in person to City Hall, 105 Polk Avenue, Attention: Finance Office.
