Box 326 Cape Canaveral, FL 32920-0326 RE: SSA Fee Proposal for Architectural Design of Parking Meter Structure Cape Canaveral, Florida Dear Todd: Per your request, Stottler Stagg & Associates, Architects, Engineers, Planners, Inc. (SSA) is pleased to present our fee proposal for the design of a parking meter structure, which will be placed at sixteen (16) City beach end streets. The site placement of each structure will be at a general City described location, with the City directing the building contractor for the final location. No SSA site design work, nor any regulatory permitting, is included in this proposal. SSA's specific scope of services will include: SSA SCOPE OF SERVICES Task 1: Architectural Design of Structure: Based on supplied City/Vendor information, SSA will design the meter structure which can be used at the 16 sites. A structural evaluation will be performed on the slab of the structure which will address wind load criteria. Task 2: Plan Review: SSA will meet with City staff to review the design construction package. Minor design updates to the drawings can be made at this time. Task 3: Bid Packal?e: SSA will support the City in a small bid package for construction of the structure. SSA will supply technical specifications along with an estimate of probable costs. The City will supply front end bid documents. Task 4: Construction Support (Optional): SSA will provide construction support which includes a contractor pre -construction meeting and two on-site inspections of the structure. This support will only be for the first structure. If additional structures are requested by the City this will be performed by SSA as an additional service. 1802 Fiske Blvd., Suite 201 P 321.338.2902 www.stottlerstagg.com Rockledge, Florida 32955 1 F 321.305.6991 Licenses AAC00032, EB0000762, LB0006700 Todd Morley September 2, 2011 Page 2 SS.4 Fee Proposal — Parking Meter Structures SCHEDULES AND FEES Schedule: Upon City authorization to proceed, SSA will complete tasks 1-3 within ten (10) working days. This will allow time for City reviews and inputs. Task 4 will be dependent on contractor schedules. Fees: SSA will perform tasks 1-3 for a lump sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($2,500.00). Task 4 (optional) can be performed for an additional fee of Six Hundred Forty and 00/100 Dollars ($640.00). The plans for the above work include a hard copy and electronic copy. Electronic costs for City and contractor submissions will be included in this fee. SSA's work will be invoiced based on a percentage of work completed and will be billed monthly with payment due within thirty (30) days of receipt. Additional services not included in the above tasks such as construction permits, boundary surveys or public workshops will be billed at SSA's standard hourly rates or negotiated as a lump sum prior to beginning work. Compensation rates are based on ordinances, regulations and procedures in force on the execution date of this Agreement by the appropriate governing bodies having jurisdiction over the project. Any significant modification in these ordinance, regulations, procedures, etc. shall be justification for re -negotiation for the compensation due to the Consultant for the work involved. The Client and SSA respectively bind themselves, their partners, successors, assigns and legal representative to the other party to this Agreement and to the partners, successors, assigns, and legal representatives of such other party with respect to all covenants to this Agreement. Neither the Client nor SSA shall assign, sublet or transfer any interest in this Agreement without the wriften consent of the other. The terms and conditions of this proposal are effective through September 30, 2011. Acceptance after this date may necessitate increased fees or altered conditions. Todd, your authorization of this proposal can be accomplished by City approval and receipt of a City purchase order. We are looking forward to working with you on this project.
