Term of Office - Three (3) years, through November 2023. - -- Qualifications - All candidates shall be qualified electors who are residents of the City of Cape Canaveral for at least one year prior to the date of qualifying to run for City office and registered to vote. Qualifying Period - Monday, August 3, 2020 at 12 noon through Friday, August 14, 2020 at 12 noon. As per Florida State Statute 99.012 no person may qualify as a candidate for more than one public office, no officer may qualify as a candidate for another muniopal public office if the terms or any part thereof run concurrently with each other without resigning from the office presently held.
