dedication ceremony. You asked me if I had any suggestions to make Cape
Canaveral a better city....I have a couple ideas and suggestions.....
#1 It would be nice if the recreation department would invest in an
electric air-blower for the racquet courts. We have a group of people
that use the raquetball courts several times a week in the mornings.
When the courts are wet, we spend time trying to dry them (rollers,
towels, newspapers, etc.) and it would be really nice if we had an
electric blower that would assist us in the drying process of the
courts.....Also, there is a tree above one of the courts that at certain
times will drop leaves and other debri on the courts, and we have to
sweep them out. (The maintenance department will sometimes blow out the
courts of debri, but they are not always working in the area and they
can only do so much, as they have a gas blower and it gets a bit toxic
from the fumes.) This is not too much to ask for, as we support the
courts on a year around basis and some of our players even travel from
Rockledge and Melbourne...we cannot always determine before we arrive to
the courts if they will be wet/playable or not, so a blower would be
great.
#2- When are we going to have the parking bumpers painted yellow...the
ones that are at the beach? (Monroe Avenue) The bumpers on the street
north and on the street south are already painted yellow.....
#3 - I have sent in a notification to the beautification committee (2X)
about property near my house that has done a wonderful job in
beautifying their property. They put in gorgeous landscaping, a
customer fence and really have made a wonderful improvement to the area.
I believe they should get some recognition (We Noticed). The address
