HomeMy WebLinkAboutErrors on the Campbell SurveyMr. Dickey, Thanks for holding a meeting for the purpose of discussing the Campbell Survey for Oak Lane. It’s too bad the meeting could not be rescheduled to accommodate those who were out of town, so I am copying this information to them. I was very glad to be in attendance, however, along with some of the other homeowners. As you know, I found multiple errors on the survey and Mr. Campbell was not able to respond well to my questions. At times he mentioned the wrong deed or incorrect information. He didn’t seem to have a clear command of his own survey. I have carefully researched the deeds he cites on his survey and he’s just plain wrong in several places. There are numbers that seem made-up. At your kind invitation, I have spent the entire day writing up the errors in a way that I hope makes it easy to understand. I have copies of all the deeds and documents cited, if you have any questions about these or would like scanned copies. (I gathered these from the Brevard county courthouse and city of Cape Canaveral records.) I am sending a copy of these errors to all council members as well, since you mentioned they will eventually be approving an official survey for Oak Lane. I think they often go into meetings without a full understanding of what has been happening. They are asked to make decisions in a few minutes about complex issues, and sometimes do not have all the facts. I have therefore added a page of short history on the entire Sheropa debacle.
