Dear Oak Lane Property Owner:
This letter is to advise you that the City Council will consider adopting Resolution No. 2019-
13 and approving Ordinance No. 17-2019 on First Reading at its Regular City Council Meeting
on September 17, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. The Meeting was originally scheduled for September 3,
2019 and cancelled on September 2, 2019 due to the projected impacts of Hurricane Dorian.
The Resolution and Ordinance are related to Oak Lane and are explained in the City Council
Agenda Items published for the meeting. Copies of the full City Council Agenda Items
regarding these two items can be examined on the City's website at
www.citvofcapecanaveral.org, or copies can be obtained from the City Clerk's office.
The City previously provided you with a courtesy copy of the revised final Map of Survey and
a related Right-of-Way and Maintenance Map prepared by Campbell Surveying, LLC.
The Planning & Zoning Board will also conduct a public hearing at on September 24, 2019 at
6:00 pm regarding Ordinance No. 17-2019. This Meeting was originally scheduled for
September 4, 2019 and cancelled on September 2, 2019-due to the projected impacts of
Hurricane Dorian. All public hearings will be held at City Hall at 100 Polk Avenue. A copy of
the meeting notice is enclosed.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
RESCHEDULED
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing on Resolution No.
2019-13 and Ordinance No. 17-2019 will he held on Tuesday,
September 17, 2019 before the City Council. The Meeting was
originally scheduled for September 3, 2019 and cancelled on
September 2, 2019 due to the projected impacts of Hurricane
Dorian. A public hearing on Ordinance No. 17-2019 will be held
on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 before the City's Planning and
Zoning Board. The Meeting was originally scheduled for
September 4, 2019 and cancelled on September 2, 2019-due to
the projected impacts of Hurricane Dorian. The applicant, the
City of Cape Canaveral, has requested the resolution to certify
the Oak Lane right-of-way and the ordinance to establish
supplementary zoning standards for properties abutting Oak
Lane. All public hearings will be held at 6:00 pm at the City of
Cape Canaveral Council Chambers, 100 Polk Avenue, Cape
Canaveral, FL.
Comments regarding the request can be made in person at the meeting, or submitted
in writing to the City of Cape Canaveral, C/O Community Development
Department, 100 Polk Avenue, P.O. Box 326, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920-0326.
The City hereby advises the public that: If a person decides to appeal any decision
made with respect to any matter considered at the public hearings, that person will
need a record of the proceedings, and that person may need to ensure that a verbatim
record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence
upon which the appeal is to be based.
This notice does not constitute consent by the City for the introduction or admission
into evidence of otherwise inadmissible or irrelevant evidence, nor does it authorize
challenges or appeals not otherwise allowed by law. In accordance with the
Americans with Disabilities Act: all interested parties may attend public hearings.
City Hall is accessible to the physically handicapped. Persons with disabilities
needing assistance to participate in the proceedings should contact the City Clerk's
office (868-1220 x220 or x221) 48 hours in advance of the meeting.
