MEETING MINUTES
June 13, 2019
A Meeting of the Planning & Zoning Board was held on June 13, 2019, at City Hall Council
Chambers, 100 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral, Florida. Chairperson Pennie Zuercher called the
meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The Secretary called the roll.

None
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Approval of Meeting Minutes: April 24, 2019.
Motion by Melissa Bass and seconded by Pennie Zuercher to approve the Meeting Minutes of
April 24, 2019. Vote on the motion carried unanimously.
2. Quasi-Judicial and/or Public Hearing: Consideration and Recommendation Re: Site
Plan Approval for the City of Cape Canaveral Multi-Generational Facility located at
7920 Orange Avenue, per City Code of Ordinances, Section 110-223 — City of Cape
Canaveral,Applicant.
Staff presented report/photos to include location, surrounding properties/uses, portions of
property will remain intact, parking and dumpster location.
Discussion ensued to include seating design near the building and creating a "gathering
place" for community engagement.

Mrs. Kellum, a resident, spoke about additional seating and other site amenities.
Motion by Mr. Pearson, seconded by Mrs. Bass to recommend approval to Community
Development Director subject to compliance with the City Engineer's comments. Vote on the
motion carried unanimously.
REPORTS AND OPEN DISCUSSION:
Mr. Pearson spoke in regards to the number of seated board members and current vacancies. Mr.
Dickey informed the members that two new applicants will be presented at the next board meeting.
ADJOURNMENT:
Motion by Mrs. Bass and seconded Mrs. Zuercher to adjourn the meeting at 6:40 p.m.
