On March 6, 2018 I received a complaint about signs and equipment being sold at Beach Wave. A site
inspection revealed a temporary sign set up on the empty lot advertising $5 golf at the putt putt course.
The sign is made from a piece of wood hanging from a metal frame. Since it is not advertising a special
event and has been on display for quite some time it is in violation. The second inspection was several
scooters for sale on display in the front parking lot with a cardboard sign saying for sale. This is in
violation of zoning ordinance that motor vehicles can’t be sold in C-1 zoning. I notified the property
owner of observed violations and after several email exchanges he interprets the code differently and
feels he is not violating the code. Since I notified the owner the scooters have not been on display again
but the sign has been daily.
