Subject: New "Beach Wave" Extreme Fun location - 8801 Astronaut Blvd.
Hi, Glenn!
You may be familiar with this project and what the owners would like to
have for signage. To be more explicit, they want the following
signs:
1) Ground signs
- Two (2) ground signs (the property has two frontages (500’
on Astronaut and about the same on W. Central Blvd. I understand that
the code specifies one per street frontage; however, is there a
possibility, considering the frontage, to allow both signs located
parallel to Astronaut with much distance in between them.
- The smaller size sign will accommodate an electronic message
center of 32 square feet with a total area of 53.30 square feet and
overall height of 10’.
It will be located closer to the intersection of Astronaut and Central
Blvds. I believe that it has to meet a sight triangle of 35’.
- The larger sign will accommodate two tenant panels with an
overall square area of 144 square feet and overall height of 20’. This
sign will be located at the other end of the property frontage on
Astronaut.
2) Wall signage
- One wall sign parallel to Astronaut for Beach Wave Beachwear
(108.85 sq. ft.) and one wall sign “T-shirts, Souvenirs, Beachgear”
(51.27 sq. ft.) on a wall perpendicular to Astronaut.
The owners are also asking for wall sign on the front to advertise the
arcade located inside the building:
- One wall sign parallel to Astronaut for “Miniature Golf &
Arcade” (36.43 sq. ft.) AND one sign for each of the two tenants that
they will have in the building.
Please let me know what they can do as they are anxious to move on
this.
