HomeMy WebLinkAboutFW Sign variance requestsWendie, I would like your assistance in this matter. Can you contact me with a time that we can review? Thanks, Todd Todd Morley Community & Economic Development Department Director City of Cape Canaveral 7510 N. Atlantic Ave. P.O. Box 326 Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 (321) 868-1222 x14 (321) 868-1247 (fax) t.morley@cityofcapecanaveral.org <mailto:t.morley@cityofcapecanaveral.org> www.cityofcapecanaveral.org <http://www.cityofcapecanaveral.org/> “If it is to be, it is up to me” From: Susan Chapman Sent: Thursday, January 24, 2013 4:49 PM To: Todd Morley Subject: FW: Sign variance requests Todd, At 3:52 pm, Barry informed me that he is meeting with Mosh at 4 p.m. today and Mosh will reimburse him for the radius package so we don’t have to reimburse him (Barry) through petty cash or collect escrow. No City paper trail involved. Do you believe a customer handing a city official or any employee cash or check is good business practice? In the email below, Barry requests that I prepare the property notices, but we don’t even have an application submitted, application fees have not been paid, and escrow funds have not been paid for the mail out. So, I am holding off until it has been properly submitted. The Board of Adjustment meeting is already scheduled to hear this request on Thursday, February 7, 2013. Also, I believe according to the Code, “courtesy notices” are supposed to be mailed and the property posted with a “Notice of Public Hearing” a minimum of 14 days prior to the scheduled meeting. However, these are “courtesy” notices only. Nice that I have time to prepare 175 notices before I leave tomorrow @ 1:30 flex for P & Z Meeting last night. Also, process a CAB packet tomorrow before I leave that should have went out Wednesday (one week prior to the meeting.) Just thought you would want to know about another example of how things are progressing normally.
