Based on the Common Conversion Factors (EXTECH Instruments) and Light
Guide, the following is the method used to determine the footcandles for
spillover lighting at 8801 Astronaut Boulevard:
Example:
Northeast quadrant readings AVG; 219LUX (last night; January 21,2014)
Determined square feet; used an average area of 8’ x 20’; 160 (grade to
light source x average width)
AVG LUX reading of 219
Square feet; 160
Therefore 219/160 = 1.37 footcandles.
I followed this method throughout my review and feel that repositioning
the light fixtures may resolve the spillover lighting. It was my
understanding that you agreed to do so. In addition, I agreed to make
myself available when you had the hi-lift on-site. All I ask is you give
me a little notice in advance, 24hrs to confirm my calendar
responsibilities.
Reaspectfully,
