HomeMy WebLinkAboutBeachwave Elevations - CAB and Council Appeal SummaryDavid, On February 28, 2012 the Community Appearance Board heard Request No. 2012-01. It included a Staff summary with this statement: The CAB reduced the parapets (condition #1). However, reducing the parapets had no effect on the height of the windows. See sketch below. They approved a total of 6 conditions: On March 6, 2012 the applicant filed an appeal to City Council. They appealed only conditions 1, 2, 3 & 5. Conditions 4 & 6 were acceptable. On March 20, 2012, City Council Ordered that Special Exception Request No. 2012-01 be approved (attached) subject to only three conditions (4, 6, and a new one requiring a parapet along the rear): I cannot find a drawing that shows the height of the windows lowered. The only documentation indicating a desire to reduce the height of the windows was the Staff summary presented to CAB, which was not effectively acted on. Council minutes reflect that there was some discussion regarding the restrictions of the sign code (see minutes attached, p. 7).
