HomeMy WebLinkAboutRe AQQ25-R1 – City of Cape Canaveral MOA (3)Good morning Chris,
Any new updates on this issue? There was a new resident concern about
it this morning. The resident said they almost slipped. We will see if
we can clean it off again, but with water pouring on it on a daily basis
and the rains, it is hard to keep it from getting slippery.
Thanks.

Ellen,
Mr. Mosh contacted me on this concern and stated that when it
rain or his employee’s add to much water and they shut the system down
at night it sometimes overflows. He also stated that this area is part
of the FDOT drainage. I explained to him that this is considered Illict
Discharge. And that it was not legal to dump any water on the FDOT
drainage or structures. I would like to meet with FDOT’s drainage
personnel and see if this is correct as far as drainage. Please let me
know if you can schedule something.

Ellen,
I spoke to Tim and went out and looked at the concern. The area
of concern is at A1A & Central Ave. the putt putt golf on that corner
have a pond in front of it that is concrete and is leaking the ground is
saturated and flowing over the sidewalk. I reached out to the owner but
he was not in the office. I left my card and informed them that if I
have not received a call by tomorrow at 12:00pm I will be calling the
State Hotline for Elicit Discharge. I have copied Tim in the email also.
Tim please let me know if you need anything else.
Thank you,

Ellen,
I received this from City of Cape Canaveral this morning. It is
not so much a sidewalk issue as the water leak. Should this be added to
the work needs?
Thanks for all your help!

EXTERNAL SENDER: Use caution with links and attachments.
Good morning Lori,
No questions about the MOA Inspection report, however I do
have an issue I am dealing with that I need assistance with.
There is a property on A1A that has a leak of some sort. Our
code enforcement has been involved with this ongoing issue but the
problem is on a section of sidewalk that is on an FDOT ROW, so for us to
enforce anything on this would not be able to be held up.
I have included a map, and a few pictures of this issue on the
sidewalk. We have had quite a few complaints about this being slippery,
and a safety hazard, and I have sent one of my guys out here to try and
see if he could clean up the algae that it is creating.
Can you please direct me to someone that could assist in this
matter.
Thanks,
