HomeMy WebLinkAboutRe Code enforcement case listSorry, I did include all in my answer to Mr. Dickey
Nothing about what city leadership has put me and my family through for
20 years has been easy. I have met with you and others multiple times. I
would not characterize my activism and efforts to influence change as
sitting back and criticizing.

Springbrook, like any other enterprise software, is only
as good as the processes and design that feeds it. The fields are there,
the report capability is there. What seems to be missing is the overall
strategy, requirements, metrics and management discipline to make it
function properly. New software won’t fix that.

Hi Pat. Great observations. The Springbrook
program our code enforcement team currently uses to administer its cases
was originally purchased as a financial management program by the City
years ago. We have been able to cobble together some of its functions
into what we have today.
For this reason, we are in the process of
transitioning to a new software bundle that will allow our team to meet
the needs of all our customers. We are anticipating a go-live timeframe
this September. I think you will be pleased with the information that be
at your fingertips.
I would enjoy meeting with you to discuss this
new tool and perhaps we can dig a little deeper into the items you raise
in your email to make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

I see a new case list posted, but is has
less citizen useful information than the previous one. Now it does not
show who or what. I can’t even find mine. What is the plan to provide
transparent, complete and accurate information on code enforcement
activities in our city?

Florida has a very broad public records

City of Cape Canaveral officials and employees will be made available to
the public and/or media upon request, unless otherwise exempt. Under
Florida Law, email addresses are public records. If you do not want your
email address released in response to a public-records request, do not
