HomeMy WebLinkAboutRE 307 Surf (130)Pat – Code Enforcement Officer Robinson and I will be happy to meet with you to go over each item you discuss in your email below. It is difficult – at best – to properly cover these types issues via email. Let me know what works for you. "Apply for, obtain, reopen applicable permits and have final inspections." Nothing I need to do requires a permit beyond the active permit I already have. You didn't correct the letter as you said you did "The last recommendation in regards to permits has now omitted reopen", has not been corrected. I do not need to apply for, obtain or reopen anything! Your “we don't know what your intentions are in regard to a new fence or shielding equipment which could require a permit” is a hollow attempt to cover your ability to correctly frame this issue. Adding “could require a permit” is beyond applicable for the subject at hand. This inattention to detail and accuracy combined with this presupposition of what might occur is the continuation of selective and discriminatory tactics directed at me by the city. Please provide a corrected letter, sent to me via certified mail as the original, but incorrect Notice to Appear was sent, answer this email with a corrected copy and stop this intentional discrimination. Please do so in a timely manner to support your requirement that I appear to answer for the remaining violations. -----Original Message----- From: Chris Robinson [mailto:C.Robinson@cityofcapecanaveral.org] Sent: Friday, April 19, 2019 8:54 AM To: Patrick Campbell <patrickcampbell@cfl.rr.com <mailto:patrickcampbell@cfl.rr.com> > Cc: David Dickey <D.Dickey@cityofcapecanaveral.org <mailto:D.Dickey@cityofcapecanaveral.org> >; Michael German <M.German@cityofcapecanaveral.org <mailto:M.German@cityofcapecanaveral.org> >; Brian Palmer <B.Palmer@cityofcapecanaveral.org <mailto:B.Palmer@cityofcapecanaveral.org> > Subject: RE: 307 Surf Mr. Campbell, I have attached an updated version of the Notice of Violation. You are correct that your fence is no longer in violation, I have stricken that from the recommendations and apologize for the oversight. The siding and shielding of mechanical equipment remain in violation. The last recommendation in regards to permits has now omitted reopen since you have reopened the siding permit. The rest will remain since we don't know what your intentions are in regard to a new fence or shielding equipment which could require a permit. The fence on the west side of my property is not my fence and what is left belongs to the owner of 305 Surf Drive. 305 Surf Drive is a long standing code compliance problem for the city. Please send a corrected version of the NOV included in your Notice of Hearing 4/15/2019. The corrected version should acknowledge that my fence is compliant. I also have only one permit open 19-0060, valid until 6/12/19. This permit includes the siding replacement. All others are closed and final inspections done.
