The permit was issued to the contractor listed on the application for the demolition permit, Jim Crisafulli, one and the same with the owner of the property on the date the permit was issued. I have asked Staff to issue a new permit reflecting the new owner. I agree with you that gaining compliance with all of the outstanding code enforcement violations related to this property is not “closed” as there is still work to do. However, we have taken great strides in bringing closure to this matter. You have previously received a response to the other assertions in your email regarding the closing date, lien reduction and the permit timeline. Thanks. The bully tactic of banging the gavel and declaring “closed” does not make it closed for the citizens and it is not closed for me. We have previously covered the topic of the real estate closing for 305 Surf. Regarding the demolition permit, see attached. Note that per the Agreement approved by Council, the demolition permit was required to be issued within 14 days of closing, which in this case would have been April 18th. You will find that the demolition permit was issued on April 16th. Staff considers this matter closed.
