HomeMy WebLinkAboutGov Office - Download DataMia, Staff has contacted the current web services provider (GovOffice) in an effort to research Mr. Campbell's request for "a list of all captured Report A Concern submits to the city". We already knew that all data entered into the RAC web page web form is transmitted via email to the City. This is the same information the Deputy City Clerk was able to locate in Outlook using the Barracuda records system (455+ initial RAC submit emails). It has however been discovered that the initial submit data entered into the web form can also be pulled from the backend of the current website to create a new record in the form of a CSV file. The data includes the name, email, phone number, concern, IP address and record ID. The pulled data adds the IP address and a record ID, which are not included in the initial RAC submit email - very interesting data to be able to see. I have opened and reviewed the downloaded RAC CSV file, and applied basic formatting to wrap the text within the cells for ease of reading. The CSV file has been turned into an Excel file with the proper naming convention. I have attached the Excel file for your review, and use as a more efficient means of fulfilling Mr. Campbells' PRR for "a list of all captured Report A Concern submits to the city". If you feel it appropriate, please attach this email on your reply to Mr. Campbell (Cc - Council + Staff).
