HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 03-23-1992 'I�ecre o.�;cm tqcl ;so Cy l (Y1;n ujes t ' 9etti MINUTES OF MEETING CAPE CANAVERAL RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD March23, 1992 Members Present: Harvey Renshaw Nate Jones Regina Mead Colin Finnegan Marianne Kulac Pat Bender Department Director Nancy Hanson Council Member John Porter The meeting was called to order by Chairman Marianne Kulac at 5:05 p.m. Minutes from the previous meeting were approved on a motion by Harvey Renshaw, seconded by Nate Jones. The Budget Report was reviewed. Reports Activity reports for January and February were discussed. All programs are progressing smoothly. The Patriots' Day Parade was deemed a great success and reports from the community have bccn extremely favorable. John Porter requested that the Director apprise Council of any additional physical or financial needs for ease in formulating next year's plans. Nancy thanked Board member volunteers for their efforts, and solicited both continuing efforts and suggestions and/or comments designed to enhance next year's activities. In her review of the projected calendar, Nancy announced that a Teen Dance is tentatively scheduled for May 2 and Racquetball and Tennis Tournaments for May 9. Old Business The Park project is at a high percentage of completion, with little work remaining. New Business Rockwell International has requested a donation of four 30-play cards for court time to be used as prizes at their upcoming picnic in April. Nate moved that recommendation to accommodate this request be forwarded to the Council for its deliberation on this matter. Harvey seconded the motion and it carried.
