CAPE CANAVERAL RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD
May 25, 1991
Members present: Harvey Renshaw, Colin Finnegan, Nate Jones
William Schmidt, Marianne Kulac and Regina
Also present: Nancy Hanson' Recreation Director
Absent: Pat Bender
The meeting was called to order at 5:10 p m.' by Chairman
Marianne Kulac
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved with
addition of Bill Schmidt as being absent
What would appear to be a minus in the City's Treasurer's
Report will show up in the next quarterly report in a better
light
The Board discussed the Director's Reports. Spring Fling
turned out well. Other tournaments are to be held in June and
September. Shuffleboard became a topic of discussion' with
the possibility of the addition of another group. No
definite conclusion to this subject.
With regard to the Beautification Board's project affecting
the playgrounds, the Recreation Board would like more
information on the symbols used in the drawings. Being
playground areas' we feel it is important to plan and plant
areas that will not hinder the children's ability to use it to
the fullest. In any event we do not feel we can offer any
opinion until we know more.
Next meeting will be July 22' at 5:00 p.m.
Motion to adjourn by Nate Jones, seconded by Bill Schmidt
Carried. Adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
