CAPE CANAVERAL RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD MEETING
December 3, 1990
Members present: Regina Mead, Nate Jones, Bill Schmidt, Marianne
Kulac, Harvey Renshaw and Colin Finnigan
Also present: Nancy Hanson, Recreation Director and Ed Spenick,
City Manager
The meeting was called to order at 5:10 p.m. by vice-chairman
Marianne Kula..
A motion was made by Regina Mead and seconded by Nate Jones to
approve the minutes of the September 24, 1990 meeting as mailed.
Motion passed by unanimous vote.
The operating budget was discussed and the treasurers report was
reviewed.
The September and October Recreation Departments activity report
was reviewed. The tournament report from the November racquetball
tournament was reviewed.
The October teen dance and Halloween party was discussed and the
reports reviewed.
Ms. Hanson updated the Board on facility improvement and maintenance
projects.
New Rusiness: Harvey Renshaw nominated Marianne Kulac for chairman,
Nate Jones seconded the nomination. The vote by the Board was
unanimous. Marianne Kulac nominated Harvey Renshaw for vice-
chairman. Rill Schmidt seconded the nomination, passed by unanimous
vote by the Board. Rill Schmidt nominated Regina Mead for
Secretary, Nate Jones seconede the nomination, vote by the Roard
was unanimous.
The Board expressed an interest in meeting with the Recreation
Department staff and members of City Council at the Recreation
Center in an informal manner prior to the Christmas holidays.
The date of December 13th was suggested. The Recreation Director
was asked to take care of the details.
Being no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
