At this time there was a discussion about creating a Donor's Plaque, due to the large donation we received from Mr.Devline. A motion was made to design a Donor's Plaque by Harry Ernst seconded by Gerry Vavrek. This was later amended to say pending further investigation. Passed. IV. OLD BUSINESS: With reference to the paint and moisture problems of the library, Mr. Spenek handed out copies of a letter from Thoro System Products. They reported that an inspection by Coastal Construction Products could find no fault with the Thoro Paint Product itself. However, there survey found a hole at the rear of the building, top of the wall, where water was apparently seeping through a security floodlight. Also, the grade was sloping toward the building in many areas. The company suggested that if these two areas, at least, were corrected the situation might be solved. They denied any failure on behalf of Thoro System Product. Regarding the Safe Driving Course offered by AARP, they have been contacted and will probably hold the course sometime in February. V. NEW BUSINESS: A discussion was held regarding the monthly drop in circulation and the need for more publicity for library activities and the library generally. A brochure to be distributed was suggested or perhaps a pamphlet. Harry Ernst volunteered to look into this. He will contact the media, including TV Channel 5, which broadcasts Community news items.
