It is a two-year program. He is trying to get a Merritt Island doctor to be our donor. F. Lock-box: This has been installed in the front. Wall Paint Problem: Randy Hearns, GS Contractor's Manager, called and they are going to do the walls. A paint contractor came to discuss a time-frame. He was going to submit this in writing and I asked for a copy. I am discussing this with my immediate supervisors, Cathy Sweinberg and Kathy Stewart. There is a probability that we will have to close the library for at least three days or more. It depends on the condition of the walls when they are scraped. It may be necessary to seal the walls and there will be a drying period. I. In the County: The Satellite Beach Library project is on schedule. Palm Bay Library work has not yet gone out for bid. J. IV.OLD BUSINESS: The Soucoup Art exhibit: There was a discussion of whether to give permission for this exhibit. Mrs. Escapa is worried about security for the exhibit. Mrs. Stenglein felt that the Soucoups were making too many demands. The City Manager, Mr. Spenek, suggested an -alarm system for the doors. Ultimately it was decided that the primary function of the library was not to accommodate every art exhibit that came along. Future exhibits will be allowed at the discretion of Mrs. Escapa in consultation with the Library Board. Mrs. Butte brought up the question of the previously discussed "Safe Driving Course." After discussion, it was decided to try to schedule it for next Jan. Mrs. Butte asked if the left-over books fran the Book Sale could be sent overseas to the servicemen. She will look in to the matter by trying to get an address. Motion by E. Butte, seconded by Tim Grady, to pursue this matter. V.
