Mayor, the clip is from an Oct 2015 Code Enforcement minutes.
This property is not in any way compliant with city ordnances. This
property has been an eyesore for over a decade. NOTHING substantial has
been done to correct the most serious violations - rotten and crumbling
roof, swimming pool popped out of the ground and is nothing more than a
large puddle of stagnate mosquito infested water, screen enclosure
falling apart, mold on the outside of the property, trash and junk all
over the back yard, fence falling down, an abandoned boat in the back
yard, an untagged vehicle in the driveway. There is more, but our point
is, calling this property in compliance is just a complete disregard for
the standards set by and expected by the citizens of our city. We also
find a lack of visibility, management and accuracy of the information
provided to the web interface by the building department. Please let us
know via response to this email, what the city plans to do.

Subject: After the storm..Check on you and
Hi Michael. I hope you came through the storm ok. I am
wondering about damage in Cape Canaveral and specifically about building
permits to fix the damage. Is the City going to expedite or waive
permits to repair/replace damage? I am also back to questioning the 305
Surf Drive property. I spent hours today picking up his rotten fences
and broken trees from my yard. He is no where to be found. The pool
enclosure, what was left from 10 years of neglect is now completely
down. More roof damage and the pool is now completely exposed. I am
requesting the City to come and clean up his mess, inspect his property
and safe the pool from potential accidents. There has been NO movement
in 10 years to bring this up to code or at least protect people from the
hazards. Help me please.
