City of Cape Canaveral requires the applicant or property owner requesting Site Plan Approval,
zoning changes or variances to post notices on the respective property.
Notices must be posted no more than twenty-five (25) days, nor less than fifteen (15) days prior to
the date of your first public hearing (as indicated on the notice).
If the property abuts a public road right-of-way, the notice shall be posted within (10) feet of the
right-of-way and in such a manner as to be visible from that road right-of-way so that it may be
read and observed by the general public. Signs shall not be obscured or hidden on the property.
The affidavit (attached) must be presented to the applicable board at the public hearing when the
item is called and heard.
Failure to provide the affidavit as proof of posting at the public hearing shall result in the
postponement of the application for one (1) meeting at a cost to the applicant of (50%) of the
original application fee or denial of the request.
Signage for posting will be provided to the applicant by Community Development and should the
notice be removed or destroyed prior to the meeting, please call (321) 868-1222 for a replacement
sign.
The owner, applicant or his legally designated agent is responsible for the removal of the notice
after the matter is finally decided by the Planning and Zoning Board or Board of Adjustment.
ALL AFFIDAVITS MUST BE PRESENTED AT
THE PUBLIC HEARING
