CODE CHANGE
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing on Ordinance
No. 04-2018 will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at
6:00 P.M. before the City Council. The public hearing will
be held at City Hall, Council Chambers, 100 Polk Avenue,
Cape Canaveral, Florida 32920. The Ordinance may be
inspected in the City Clerk's office during business hours
(8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday). Interested parties
may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to
the proposed ordinances.
Ordinance No. 04-2018
An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Cape
Canaveral, Brevard County, Florida; providing for the
location of Pharmacies and Medical Marijuana Treatment
Center Dispensing Facilities within the City; providing for
the repeal of prior inconsistent ordinances and resolutions;
incorporation into the Code; severability and an effective
date.
The City Council reserves the right to continue or postpone
hearings to a date certain without re-advertising. Any
written comments that are received on the subject matter
will become part of the official record. Pursuant to Section
286.0105, Florida Statutes, the City hereby advises the
public that: If a person decides to appeal any decision
made by the City Council with respect to any matter
considered at this meeting, that person will need a record
of the proceedings, and for such purpose that person may
need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is
made, which record includes the testimony and evidence
upon which the appeal is to be based. This notice does
not constitute consent by the City for the introduction
or admission into evidence of otherwise inadmissible or
irrelevant evidence, nor does it authorize challenges or
appeals not otherwise allowed by law. In accordance with
the Americans with Disabilities Act: all interested parties
may attend this Public Meeting. The facility is accessible
to the physically handicapped. Persons with disabilities
needing assistance to participate in the proceedings should
contact the City Clerk's office (868-1220 x206 or x207) 48
hours in advance of the meeting.
