I am in receipt of the attached materials associated with the proposed Holiday Inn project at the southern terminus of Columbia Road. Specifically, these documents relate to improvements (as itemized in a letter dated march 17, 2017 from William E. Crowe, P.E.) that Port Canaveral is requesting in return for granting utility and access easements needed as part of the hotel development. In an email I sent to you on January 25, 2017, I indicated that the easements from the Port need to be secured prior to the City’s consideration of a PD rezoning application for the hotel. To the best of my knowledge, the easements have not been secured. I am aware of the proposed Development Agreement between the Daniel Corporation and the Canaveral Port Authority (attached), however, this has not been executed by either party. Until such time that the Agreement is fully executed, the rezoning cannot move forward. If there is anything we can do to assist, please contact either Todd or myself. Thank you.
