FYI –
I received a call from Greg Weiner/EDC about 8550 Astronaut Blvd.
(Hermansen - formerly Craig Technologies).
He wanted to know if the property was in the CRA. I told him it was.
I cautioned that we haven’t yet signed our interlocal with the County
and we can’t promise anything with the CRA.
The client is confidential, He described them as
* A “D.O.D. Client”
* 150 jobs, high wage (QTI eligible)
* They are interested in 38,000 s.f.
* Space-related industry,
* A newer company we wouldn’t have heard of (not Lockheed)
* Deep pockets
The building has 163,000 s.f. This would only occupy about 25%.
He’s thinking maybe a CRA grant equal to taxes paid.
I told him we should be talking AVT. He said they can get that
anywhere.
I’ve got a call in to Hermansen to see if he knows more.
