As you know, those in Tallahassee wishing to reduce or eliminate Home Rule with respect to regulating short term rentals currently have the upper hand in this debate. The short term rental industry is spending millions to lobby lawmakers. Only a concerted effort by local elected officials and concerned voters can curtail these efforts. The AHLA and Florida Restaurant & Lodging Associations efforts to push for equitable regulations is falling of deaf ears. Kind regards, Florida has a very broad public records law.
