HomeMy WebLinkAboutRe Springhill Suites (7)Hi Tom. It all comes down to the quality/completeness of the plans. Once
submitted, plans are distributed to several City departments for review.
Should there be items that need attention, a resubmittal(s) will be
needed and then an additional review. This can take time. The P&Z packet
goes out one week prior to the meeting. If we don't get plans for
another 1-2 weeks, it will be difficult to have the plans reviewed and
finalized in time to finalize a packet before October 18th. Especially
if there are any resubmittals. However, City Staff will always move
things along as quickly as possible. The quicker it is approved, the
quicker it is built and the quicker it will generate tax revenue. Dave

To your comment "plans that were submitted are to be discarded
and that we will be getting revised plans in the next 1-2 weeks"
That should not be the case. We should be able to submit to the
city finalized site plans in short order.
We hope that having submitted the application by the 25 and
getting the site plans to you within a week, that we can get on the Oct
25 P&Z agenda.
Please confirm.
Thanks

Bob – I spoke to John Pekar this morning regarding the
Springhill Suites site plan submittal. I understand that your engineer
contacted John yesterday and that they spoke at length. The bottom-line
is that the plans that were submitted are to be discarded and that we
will be getting revised plans in the next 1-2 weeks. This obviously will
delay when the site plan can be considered by the P&Z Board (we had
discussed a meeting in early October). I don’t want there to be any
surprises for you when the hearing will be held. We do have a meeting
scheduled for 10/25, which is when the site plan for Springhill could be
considered depending on when the plans are submitted. Dave
