HomeMy WebLinkAboutRE (15-091) Cape Canaveral Hotel - SMH Information (11)Jeff, What they are looking for is an approval of the route so if they approve the easement across their land, then it won’t change later. It is time consuming to go through the process with them to get the packages together for review and approval of the Board so they want to try to make it right the first time. Since we are getting close to having the loose ends tied up for the various routes and utilities, I wanted to confirm that the route of the forcemain along State Road A1A to the RaceTrac will work. Once the Port finalizes the agreement with the Client, then we will be preparing the construction plans for the offsite utilities. Were you able to get the Vac truck out to the RaceTrac MH to confirm the information on it for our connection? Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you. Therefore, the hotel route does not appear to be a viable option. With regards to the requested route approval, the Port Authority is looking to receive something from the City stating that the route of the forcemain that crosses the Port’s property is acceptable. For the most part, the portion is question is for an area approximately 30 feet wide located between the Client’s west property line and the east right-of-way line of State Road A1A. It is understood that for the final approval, the forcemain will require FDOT approval for the route along State Road A1A, but at this time we are just trying to get something for the Port Authority for the portion of the forcemain that crosses their property. Hopefully, this helps, but please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you. Greg Greg Crawford, P.E., P.S.M., Senior PM 5127 S. I’m not sure of their schedule for construction, but the manhole at RaceTrac will be replaced when RaceTrac does their construction. Their proposed location must also be approved with FDOT since most of the route is in the SR A1A ROW. As such, one item that they need is a letter from the City of Cape Canaveral stating that the proposed route of the forcemain from the Canaveral Property through the Port property to State Road A1A is acceptable to the City. Right now they won’t proceed forward with the Agreement until they receive a letter from the City on the proposed route.
