HomeMy WebLinkAboutFwd Thurm Blvd and A1A traffic LightTodd As discussed previously we would like to pursue a lighted intersection at Thurm Blvd and A1A. We believe with the proposed development around this intersection, a light would be warranted for consideration. Items to consider: * CHS will be moving into the building being redeveloped by Bob Baugher. If he has not already told you, Bob can share their estimated number of employees. * The Craig Technologies building (161,000 sf) will likely be split up into 2 to 4 sections and leased to different tenants. * If a light was installed, CCJV would seek to develop an outparcel for a small national/regional chain restaurant on the South East Corner * Bob Baugher has developed draft plans for up to two hotels on the south side of the Radisson, as well as one or two out parcels for national/regional tenants on the North West corner of the intersection. * I have not spoke with Kurt Tezel recently, but he has told me that he has received quite a bit of interest in his 11 acre property on the South West corner of the intersection. In short, a lighted intersection at this location could spur facilitate a considerable amount of new development for the City. I will follow up to discuss this further after you have had a chance to review. If possible, I would like the opportunity to discuss this proposal with you and representatives from the FLDOT when appropriate. Please keep in mind that these drawings are simply for discussion purposes. Kind regards, Tom Hermansen (941) 587-2808 Begin forwarded message: David T.
