HomeMy WebLinkAboutRE Hotels Motels for Sewer Study (5)Jessica, I will engage with Raftelis today………………………I have no intention of changing our rate structure and I will point to their previous study and inquire about their rationale previously. I will let you know how this all falls out. The coding of commercial is for the billing rate. Typically the rate structure embraces multi-family, commercial, governmental, schools, hotels, vacant land, etc. – it’s a catch all for everything that isn’t in the residential rate structure. I’d rather not establish a new “rental” class if the rates are identical to that of commercial because that’s a new subset of rate codes I have to maintain. If you are going to introduce a new rate structure that bills differently then we will need to explore. However the code for Cape Canaveral defines these entities as falling in the Rental Property category. As a result, to stay in line with our code(Attached) this warrants the classification to be changed to Rental for: The Radisson, Country Inn Suites, Cape Caribe, Residence Inn, and Homewood Suites. Based on this , Obviously, the study done by Raftelis in February 2012 did not inquire, mention or take this into account. I am glad this has been brought to my attention, but my predecessors were unaware of this. I recommend we update these accounts………………………..any thoughts here? Thanks, John P.S.--------I believe we are coming to an end for this study---------Raftelis-------------seems to have everything they need--------aside from these codes being updated. <http://www.cityofcapecanaveral.org/> Launch your connection… <https://www.facebook.com/CityofCapeCanaveralC:/Users/j.deleo/Documents/ Custom%20Office%20Templates> <https://www.instagram.com/cityofcapecanaveral/> <https://www.linkedin.com/company/city-of-cape-canaveral-the> <https://twitter.com/CapeCanaveralFL> Florida has a very broad public records law.
