HomeMy WebLinkAboutRE RevisedOption #2 was previously done – assumed gravity. This might be tough due
to the number of utilities in the FDOT ROW – gravity might not work –
might need force main and small lift station at new hotel.

Jeff,
The prospective hotel group interested in the Cayer property is asking
another question about the cost to develop the sewer line across the
Homewood Suites property and up to the Cayer property – I know we
already put this to bed, but they brought it back up because they are
thinking about ponying up some money to make it happen.
The attached quote you provided only takes it to A1A.
About how much would it cost to get the sewer line all the way to the
Cayer property?
It’s about another 1300 ft.

Jeff,
I spoke with DG. Please come up with an estimate to put a sewer line in
place on the hotel property at the appropriate elevations that would
connect at the west end and stub-end at A1A (stops there for now).
Thanks
Todd

Jeff,
Would you be comfortable saying this:?
Option #2
* Extend sanitary sewer pipe west to SR A1A, then north in
SR A1A ROW to vacant property (no water line needed):
* Would require three easements from three
property owners (Homewood Suites, FDOT [permit] and Canaveral Port
Authority); and
* Additional costs may be incurred if directional
drilling is required in SR A1A ROW due to number of utilities present.
* Cost as follows:
* Surveying, obtain easements, etc.
$20,000
* Engineering fees, testing fees, etc.
$40,000
* Permits, bonds, etc.
$20,000
* Mob/demob, land clearing, demolition, etc.
$20,000
* 2,000 feet of sanitary sewer pipe ($65/lf)
$130,000
* Lift station
$80,000
* Six manholes
$64,800
* Misc.
$20,000
* Total Estimate:
$394,800
Option #3
* Extend sanitary sewer pipe beneath SR A1A to manhole on
RaceTrac property (water line not needed):
* Would require three easements from three
property owners (FDOT [permit], Canaveral Port Authority and RaceTrac
[expanded easement]);
* Directional drilling under SR A1A ROW will be
required; and
* Would require directional drilling under SR A1A.
* Costs as follows:
* Surveying, obtain easements, etc.
$25,000
* Engineering fees, testing fees, etc.
$40,000
* Permits, bonds, etc.
$25,000
* Mob/demob, land clearing, demolition, etc.

$162,000
* Lift station
$80,000
* Eight manholes
