ADDENDUM # 2
CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL

CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL LIFT STATIONS NOS. 6&7 IMPROVEMENTS
February 20, 2015
All contents of this addendum shall be incorporated into the solicitation documents
and the ensuing contract with the awarded contractor.
•Questions will be accepted up to seven days prior to the bid opening. The last day questions and
RFI’s for this bid was February 17, 2015. No further questions or RFI’s are now accepted.
• Addendums may be issued up to 72 hours prior to the bid opening due time. Brief addenda may be issued
between 72 hours and 24 hours before Bid time by e-mail or facsimile. It is the responsibility of all
potential bidders to ensure they have received all addendums issued.
• All documents pertaining to this solicitation may be obtained free of charge on CD from the City of Cape
Canaveral, City Clerk’s Office, 105 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920.
This addendum is to revise pump information and clarify the manhole coating requirements.
A.CLARIFICATION:
1.The correct facsimile number to reach Tetra Tech has been revised. Please refer to Specification Changes
Section B below.
2.The pumps for both stations have been revised. Please refer to Specification Changes and Drawing Changes
in Sections B and C below.
3.Manholes within 100 linear feet of pipe from wet well shall be lined per Section 09920. Manholes greater
than 100 linear feet of pipe from wet well shall be lined per Section 09900. Please refer to Specification
Changes in Section B below and Drawing Changes in Section C below.
B.SPECIFICATION CHANGES:
1.In Section 00020 Notice to Bidders Delete Paragraph 18 and replace with the following:
“Inquiries concerning this proposal should be directed to Tetra Tech via facsimile at (407) 839-3790,
or e-mail at rasesh.shah@tetratech.com. The subject line of all inquiries shall state “CITY OF CAPE
CANAVERAL LIFT STATIONS NOS. 6 & 7 IMPROVEMENTS – BID INQUIRY”.

Notes:
1. System curve points under minimum TDH conditions are presented below. Pump operation at full speed shall
not result in cavitation, excessive vibration, or other undesirable conditions at the minimum TDH conditions specified
below. The minimum TDH conditions will occur when there is 1 foot of liquid above the pump volute.

3.In Section 03480 Precast Concrete Structures Delete 2.01 C and replace with the following:
“Interior surfaces of all precast concrete structures shall have coating as specified below.
1.Precast concrete structures within 100 linear feet of pipe from the wet well shall be HDPE
lined as specified in 09920—Protective Concrete Coating.
2.Precast concrete structures exceeding 100 linear feet of pipe from the wet well shall have a
Bitumastic coating as specified in 09900 - Painting.”
4.In Section 09920 Protective Concrete Coating Delete 1.01 A and replace with the following:
“Furnish and install all labor, materials, appurtenances and equipment required to provide a
corrosion resistant plastic liner on the interior surface of the wet well and manhole structures within
100 linear feet of pipe from the wet well.”
D. DRAWING CHANGES:
1.Remove Sheet C-502 in its entirety and replace with the attached Sheet C-502.
2.Remove Sheet D-101 in its entirety and replace with the attached Sheet D-101.
3.Remove Sheet D-102 in its entirety and replace with the attached Sheet D-102.

The bid due date remains February 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. All prospective bidders are hereby instructed not
to contact the City of Cape Canaveral Council, City Manager, or City of Cape Canaveral Staff members other
than the noted contact person regarding this Invitation to Bid or their bid proposal at any time during the
bid process, all the way up to an award. Any such contact shall be cause for rejection of your bid proposal.
ALL OTHER SPECIFICATIONS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN UNCHANGED.
